In preparation for the Binational Mexico–U.S. Group on Bridges and Border Crossings Plenary Meeting, to be held this September in Mexico City, delegates from the governments of the United States and Mexico, as well as representatives from the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, and the Mexican states of Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas, will convene to discuss key binational infrastructure issues.
The purpose of this meeting is to address operational matters related to existing and proposed international bridges and border crossings, along with their associated infrastructure, and to exchange technical information and policy perspectives between both countries.
On Tuesday, August 27, a Review Session was held with key stakeholders to evaluate and align projects and positions on border infrastructure to be presented at the upcoming meeting. This multidisciplinary review considered technical, economic, environmental, and social aspects to reach a consensus and develop a unified narrative that reflects the needs and priorities of our region.
The session brought together representatives from all three levels of government, as well as customs brokers, transportation leaders, business organizations, and academic institutions.
