Within the framework of the technical collaboration between the municipality of Ciudad Juárez and UN-Habitat for the project “Location and transversalization of the Sustainable Development Goals and the New Urban Agenda In Ciudad Juárez” Yesterday we were participating in an event that comes to Consolidate the Juárez 2040 vision, which derives from a great collective effort of the local government, academy, civil associations and civil society; from where a portfolio of strategic projects follows, which have been sustained through participatory activities carried out between September 2022 and May 2023.
In this tenor and in this alignment between this project and the essence of Coder Juárez, both aimed at improve the quality of life of Juarenses We participated in the opening to this great event, where our President Humberto Álvarez endorsed the need to align efforts, follow up and above all continuity to all the initiatives that come to add value to our community.
Our Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, received from the Regional Representative for Latin America and the Caribbean, , Elkin Velásquez The result of the effort of this first stage that focuses on 4 components, the Ciudad Juárez 2040 vision from which the portfolio of strategic projects, the components of the Public Spaces Strategy and the Tactical Urban Planning Master Plan emerges. These will be the tools that will be detached to implement and operate the vision in its different scales.
At Coder Juárez we also endorse the commitment with UN-Habitat and the municipality of Juárez to work together to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
