CODER JUÁREZ CELEBRATES 4TH ASSEMBLY

The Regional Development Council of Juárez (Coder Juárez) held its 4th Assembly of 2023 this morning, with the presence of almost 80 councilors, Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuéllar and the head of the SIDE in the state of María Angélica pomegranates.

Dagoberto Cedillos Barraza, president of the Coder in Juárez led the assembly in which a new tool called Security Monitoring in Ciudad Juárez was presented, with which the entire population will be able to give monthly monitoring of public safety indicators.

The presentation of this tool, which allows us to see the real impact of security in the city, was in charge of Guillermo Asiain, a member of the Security and Justice table is available at https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/insights4657/viz/mscjalisisdelitoscidents/security monitor.

In addition, the economist Érika Donjuan Callejo presented the quality of life indicator that places Juárez in the 15th place of 20 municipalities with more than one million inhabitants, available in https://coderjuarez.org/indicadores-juarez/.

The economist indicated that the importance of this indicator is to discover the factors that affect the quality of life in the city and helps to know what are the main actions that must be taken to raise the quality of life.

In this regard, the undersecretary of the representation of the State Government in Juárez, Dr. Óscar Ibáñez Hernández, said that both indicators will be key to facilitating the work of the Government by giving clear information on what needs to be done to improve the quality of life.

The event also presented progress of 3 of the 13 projects headed by the CODER after having undergone a restructuring.

The progress of projects reported in yesterday’s session was regarding the General Hospital of Specialties of the IMSS —which has an advance of around 21 percent in its construction—, in addition to the work of the Artificial Intelligence Center —which in 2022 already presented black numbers with at least 2,700 graduates of different programs—and the formal formation of the Ciudad Juárez Citizen Mobility Council that is about to start an awareness campaign on the importance of using the car less and less.

Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuéllar indicated that the work of the Coder is essential to achieve the development of the city, while the Secretary of Innovation and Development of the State agreed that it is the body that must group private initiative, academia and government sector to be able to achieve development. To close the 4th Assembly, Eng. Cedillos Barraza indicated that the private organization continues in a consolidation process, and that in the short term it will be the development pillar of Ciudad Juárez and its inhabitants.
