6th Ordinary Assembly Coder Juárez

Last Thursday, December 14, the 6th Ordinary Assembly of Coder Juárez was held, where the leaderships of the 4 propellers met: governments, academy, private initiative and civil society; To validate the follow-up of the projects that will be completed in 2024.

As host was President Coder Juárez, Lic. Humberto Álvarez Quevedo accompanied by the members of the Board of Directors and the director of the organization Lic. Claudia García Echavarría; On behalf of the Federal Government, the Consul General of Mexico was present in El Paso, C. Mauricio Ibarra Ponce de León, and Dr. Juan Carlos de la Fuente, state delegate of the Mexican Social Security Institute; So also by the state government, the Secretary General of the Government of the State of Chihuahua, the Mtra. María Angélica Granados Trespalacios, the Mtro. Santiago de la Peña Grajeda, Secretary General of the State Government and Dr. Oscar Ibáñez, representative of the Governor in Ciudad Juárez, several coordinators of the dependencies of Industry, Public Works, Binational Affairs; On behalf of the Municipal President, Lic. Cruz Pérez Cuellar, attended by the Secretary of the City Council, Mtro. Héctor Ortiz Orpinel, from this government body, was also attended by the Director General of Economic Development Dr. Andrés Morales Arreola, the Director of the IMIP Dr. Roberto Mora, the Coordinator of the Directorate Projects Ing. Enrique Licón, the Coordinator of Advisors Dr. Daniela Gonzalez, the person in charge of Binational Affairs of Municipality. As part of our allies, presidents and directors of business organizations such as: CCE, DECJ, CANACO, COPARMEX, CANACINTRA, CMJ, AAA, INDEX, among others, the presence of ITESM was highlighted, Colef, IA Center, El Ciita, and as part of our binational allies was the representation of ; EPCF, UTEP, American Consulate, El Paso County through its binational representative.

A very well represented call by more than 70 participants who were attentive to the progress of the projects presented, such as: the Ciudad Juarez International Airport, which was presented by Grupo OMA through the participation of Ing. Román Martinez, general administrator of the airport; The Regional Hospital of Specialties, presenting from the IMSS Infrastructure Unit through the Architect Briseyda Resendiz and Ing. Fernando Ávila. And the Integrated Transportation System, which was the same Government Minister of Santiago de la Peña who presented it, these are immediate projects that will add to the quality of life of our people.

On the other hand, two projects were also presented that will have a direct impact on the economic development of our region. The modernization of the San Jerónimo – Santa Teresa border crossing where issues related to actions that will be implemented entering the month of January were addressed, this point was attended by the Lic. Violeta Padilla in charge of binational affairs of the State Government; and on the other hand, Electromobility Project, presented by Dr. Diana Páez, Senior Director and Mobility Leader at the William Davidson Institute, in which the theme of transition of electromobility in the state of Chihuahua was addressed, the synergy between the Industry The government and academia in the binational context have developed a critical roadmap where the talent, opportunities and links between the states of Michigan and Chihuahua will seek to detonate the sector and this industry.

During the session, progress of the projects, challenges of the same and critical routes were presented, which generated a dynamic of very productive participation among the participants.

Once again, the call was very well attended, which represents the unity and interest of everyone in taking our city to the next level in an orderly way and in a harmony of joint work.

At the end of the event, the traditional closing of the year was made to thank and reiterate the commitment of Coder Juárez to work in unity in the promotion and development of the initiatives and projects that will make our region the most competitive. Happy Holidays!
