The Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Consulate of Mexico in El Paso and the Coder convened a meeting and tour of allied organizations of Coder Juárez such as representatives of Canacintra, Canacar, Index, Municipal Government, Association of Customs Agents, Indabin, Board of Directors of Coder and Economic Development of Juárez, El Paso Community Foundation and AMPI, among others.
The meeting was present at the Consul General of Mexico at El Paso, Mauricio Ibarra Ponce de León, as well as Rogelio Fernández, General Director of the Chihuahua Border Bridge Trust and Víctor Hugo Silva, representative of the welfare programs of the Federal Government, as well as representatives of the COFA and the carrier’s union.
The Coconal construction company in charge of the work, presented the progress of the Samalayuca-Guadalupe, D.B. highway, who in turn will be in charge of the administration and maintenance. This work has a length of 31.3 kilometers, will have toll booths, surveillance, a service station and security devices to guarantee the certainty of the guiders and carriers and without a doubt, it will support the relief of cargo traffic to our border contributing to the development of foreign trade in our region and that will undoubtedly bring a strong investment and boost for the local trade that is working there.
At the end of the presentation, a tour was carried out on the highway, which will connect with the Guadalupe-Tornillo international crossing, said work accumulates an advance of 88%, having its conclusion scheduled for the beginning of the first week of May of the current year.
